It's just one of those hard and cruel facts of life that the great have all the money they need to advertise and sell their products and us little guys are on advertising budgets that are so small they probably do not add up to what the large spends on paper clips in a month. Compete with large is not feasible. . . Or possible, for that matter. So what we are little guys to do?Niche marketing is our answer. We can not advertise our products and services to the world at large, but we must be able to do that to make a decent life. . . Thanks to the Internet.Niche marketing is selling specific products or services to a limited audience. A person with a computer, an Internet connection and a good idea can go into business for himself over the Internet and go to people who would be more interested in what you have to sell and do all this with a very limited advertising budget.Finding the right niche for what you have to sell is not really that difficult. Just think about who are the people who would be most interested in what you have to sell. For example, if you've invented a shampoo formula that will take chlorine from hair of a person, can not compete with large companies that sell shampoo, but may limit its market to lower sales of niche and destination for those with pools. You buy a domain, get a server, and build a website to advertise your product only to people who have swimming pools. In essence, niche marketing is selling a product or service to those who want or need more product.
